"I highly recommend this property. It’s a serviced apartment rather than a traditional hotel, so I had a few concerns at first, but the staff were as friendly and helpful as any 5-star hotel. At check-in, they helped me add the property on WeChat, which was a huge help—calling can be tricky for a foreigner, but with WeChat I could message anytime and get quick support.
The view was fantastic. From my room, I could look out over May Fourth Square and relax at night while watching the building lights until 10 p.m. The living room table is large, so it was convenient to bring back takeout and enjoy different foods comfortably. Having two bathrooms was also incredibly convenient.
Honestly, if you bring enough clothes, it feels like a place you could stay for a month with no problem. I paid more than usual because it was a holiday period, but I was very satisfied overall."

"Highly recommend for a group of four! On this trip with three friends, we stayed at this hidden gem of a hotel right above The MixC shopping mall! We booked the two-bedroom, one-living room apartment, which felt perfectly tailor-made for group travel. The rooms were spacious and bright, and the two bedrooms offered complete privacy. The common living room area allowed us to chat and hang out with friends without ever feeling crowded.
But the biggest surprise was its unbeatable location! It's directly connected to The MixC downstairs, offering a one-stop shop for shopping, dining, and entertainment! If you get tired from exploring, you can pop upstairs to rest anytime, and once you've recharged, just head back down to continue the fun – it couldn't be more convenient! Whether you're looking for trendy foodie spots or need to grab daily essentials last minute, everything is easily within reach."

"🏠 Room Amenities: The St. Regis is really going downhill; it's becoming more like a budget hotel, just with higher floors. There aren't even disposable toiletries anymore. The bathroom only has large, fixed dispensers for shower gel. The Hyatt Regency uses disposable Bulgari toiletries. Big thanks again to Ben at the Hyatt Regency for helping me with the beautiful turn-down service and for the upgrade.
👍 Value for Money: Honestly, the Hyatt Regency offers much better value for money than the St. Regis now. The St. Regis rooms are getting worse and worse! Even St. Regis staff have privately heard many complaints from guests.
⛰️ Room View: This time I stayed on the 27th floor, overlooking the Third Beach, which was very pleasant and relaxing.
🔔 Service: The service was excellent. I had an unexpected situation when I checked in on November 13th, and the staff even provided me with sanitary briefs. A huge thank you to every employee at the Hyatt Regency, and a special shout-out to Ben. I hope Ben is always happy at work! 💕"

"We initially booked two tatami rooms, and the front desk, noting from our booking information that we were traveling with elderly family members, thoughtfully upgraded one of them to a king-size room. We truly appreciate their consideration! The room was spotless, and the bedding was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel boasts a central location right on Zhongshan Road. Step out and turn left, and the Zhan Bridge is just 500 meters away; turn right, and the church is also about 500 meters. With so many key attractions concentrated in the vicinity, and even a free shuttle bus service available during the summer, it's incredibly convenient!"

"Room is relatively big. Got the city view twin bed room. The bed is bigger than a single bed, probably twin sized bed. The room is in the old wing but at least it doesnt feel old and surprisingly quite a pleasant stay. Valley wing is the newer side. This hotel seems to be a popular conference hotel. In my 4-5 days staying there, there was always a conference held in the hotel. The hotel has larger taxis which can take 5-6pax. The taxi goes by meter so was reasonable. The hotel is very conveniently located, next to MixC shopping mall. There are many restaurants in the shopping mall where we had dinner. There were also many bakeries and a supermarket in the mall. There is also the usual mc donalds, starbucks and luckin coffee. There was also a new songmont shop that recently opened in the mall. For breakfast, there is a lane behind the hotel where we tried the dumplings and noodles for breakfast/brunch. Good price, around 100yuan for 5 pax. Cheap and good."

"I've stayed at this hotel many times, ever since it was Far Glory. Although your lobby is small, the service is always very warm and attentive. On this business trip, I even recommended your hotel to my client, and they were very satisfied. However, it's a pity that the once pristine rooms are now showing their age. I recall my room number was 3006. The sink in the living area was white, and the brown or black limescale made it look quite unhygienic. Please pay more attention to cleanliness. Also, the hidden, magical door that once concealed the wardrobe and safe used to make the room feel very upscale. Now that the door has been removed, it feels like the room has been significantly downgraded. This isn't to say that the hotel itself has been downgraded, it's just how I feel about it. I hope you don't take offense. It's just because I have so many good memories of your rooms from before. See you next time. Thank you, as always."

"Location is fantastic, but the price doesn't match the experience. 😕
The hotel's location is excellent, right near the church, coffee shops, barbecues, and beer places. It's very easy to get anywhere.
However, for 960rmb+ per night, I was expecting more. The room is quite dark and not good for taking pictures or doing makeup. They should really upgrade the lighting to something guests can adjust.
The room itself is spacious with a comfortable bed. The shower has strong, very hot water you can be toasted in one minute!
My main issue is the value. For this price, there is no complimentary tea or coffee in the room, no TV, and no breakfast included. I was a little unhappy about this.
The service was very nice, thanks to one young man who was always trying to help us, even though he doesn't speak English. He is the best reason to book this hotel. 👍👍👍
A note: there is no elevator, but that was fine for us since there's no gym to worry about anyway.
Overall, the location is perfect, but the price is really not suitable for what you get."

"The hotel environment is cozy with warm tones, giving it a very homey feel. It's located in the city center, making it convenient to go anywhere.
Every staff member had an excellent service attitude, and we even received a free upgrade to a sea-view suite. My boyfriend twisted his ankle, and the front desk lady saw it, proactively bringing ice and Yunnan Baiyao (a traditional Chinese medicine for pain relief) to our room. Thank you! 🙏 The next day during check-out, the cleaning auntie saw us hopping around and offered to find crutches, going from the 8th to the 10th floor to help us. She was incredibly enthusiastic. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Qingdao!"

"For my trip to Qingdao, I was looking for a hotel with convenient access to transportation, shopping, and dining. After reading numerous traveler reviews, I opted for the newly opened Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel (May Fourth Square branch).
The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable, and the cleanliness was also quite good. The facilities were comprehensive. Although there wasn't a direct sea view, the city lights at night were still dazzling. Breakfast was plentiful, offering local specialty snacks that tasted great. Even with many guests staying, everything remained quite orderly.
A notable feature: The laundry room was a very popular spot, often with queues forming. The hotel site originally served as the Qingdao Workers' Sanatorium, which I personally believe contributes to its 'quiet oasis in a bustling city' feel.
Downside: As some other guests have mentioned, the shower water temperature would occasionally fluctuate between hot and cold, and the water spray was too dispersed. I hope this can be improved."

When I inquired about local attractions, she patiently answered all my questions with a smile, even providing several practical tips that only locals would know. Xiao Xu's smiling service was far from just superficial; she remembered guests' needs, and that meticulous attention to detail washed away all the fatigue from our journey, making us instantly feel at home. The first room we were checked-in had a broken window that couldn’t be opened and the reception didn’t know about it, although the window was closed with a tape and they should have known that this room had a problem. There were not many guests in the hotel and plenty of rooms to be offered.
In the next room we found out that the show was out of hot water. The problem was with the central supply system and instead of repairing it themselves, the hotel engineer was coming to our room claiming that we should discharge water for 5-10 minutes before hot water starts coming out. This kept going for almost an hour, we were tired and wanted to sleep because it was late evening. The problem didn’t require our assistance because the problem was with the whole hot water supply system, not with our exact room.
Also, they brought us a small heater to the room which I was surprised about, but then I understood that it was because the air-conditioner which had a heater mode, didn’t work well. I doubt that the hotel would have enough heaters for all rooms in case they had more guests. Without the heater it was quite cold in the room.
Next morning the house keeper came at 9-30 am!!!Which is insane. We were sleeping. I’ve never encountered a hotel at which the house keeper came that early and disturbed the guests.
Finally when leaving the hotel, we wanted to take those one-time use sleepers with us to use during the flight and found out to our surprise, that for 4 days we were living in the hotel sleepers were not changed even once. I called the reception, it was early morning (like 6-30 am) and they told me that the house keeper will bring us the sleepers when she comes to work. I told that we were leaving already and the reception promised to bring the sleepers asap. 10 minutes later nobody came and we went to check-out. At the check-out I asked for the sleepers again and told the receptionist that the taxi has almost arrived, so that she could bring us the sleepers first and then proceed with the check-out. She didn’t listen to me, still first processed the check-out and only after it went for the sleepers. So it basically took me half an hour and my nerves to get the sleepers that were supposed to be in my room from the very beginning.
The general manager talked to us after the case with the hot water and the house keeper coming early in the morning. He was very polite, but this doesn’t eliminate the fact that basic services in this hotel leave much to be desired.
On the plus side, very comfortable beds and clean spacious room.

AAnonymous UserFirst off, the location is excellent, right across from City Hall and directly facing May Fourth Square.
Secondly, on the way from the front desk to the elevator, there are two sets of stairs. One has a ramp, which is convenient for luggage, but the other is just stairs, meaning you have to carry your bags. Stepping out of the elevator into the hallway leading to our room, there was a strong smell of smoke and the carpet was visibly dirty. Once inside the room, we found a hair on the toilet seat and another under the rim of the drinking glass. There was also a torn corner of a small wrapper under the curtain. In one of the corners on the way from the elevator to the room, there was a PV mat placed by the greenery, and it hadn't been moved for at least three days of our three-night stay.
Thirdly, the room only had standard two and three-pin power outlets, with no USB charging ports, which are so commonly found these days. In the shower, there was only a tiny shelf for toiletries, but it was far too small, and everything kept falling off. Another thing that puzzled me was that an emergency pull cord system was installed, but the cord itself was missing. Why bother installing it then?
Finally, the most appalling thing was that last night, past 11 PM, a jackhammer started, along with hammering, sounding like it was right above our heads. We tried calling the front desk first, but the line was constantly busy. Luckily, the hotel's WeChat corporate account, which we had previously added, was still responsive. They coordinated a solution, and the noise stopped in about half an hour, which was quite efficient. But then, to make matters worse, this morning, between 8 and 9 AM, the jackhammer started up again. While they did send a gift package as compensation, dealing with this kind of situation during a hotel stay is truly infuriating!
